Ken Klemme

Ken Klemme, a seasoned public servant and community leader, brings over two decades of experience in special districts and public health to his role with the Soledad Community Health Care District.
For the past 13 years, Ken has served as Manager of the Monterey County Mosquito Abatement District, overseeing science-based programs that protect public health while ensuring sound fiscal stewardship, community engagement, and environmental responsibility. With 21 years in vector control, his leadership has earned his agency multiple distinctions from the California Special District Association, including the Board of Distinction and the Transparency Certificate of Excellence.
Ken’s dedication to governance is reflected in his extensive service on boards across the state. He currently serves as Board Chair of the Soledad Mission Recreation District, has held four terms as President of the Mosquito and Vector Control Association of California, and serves as Secretary of the local Special District Association chapter. He is also an executive member of the statewide Vector Control Joint Powers Authority. His Special District Administrator certification underscores his commitment to professional excellence and advancing the mission of public-serving organizations.
