National Association of Rural Health Clinics

Supporting excellence in rural and community-based healthcare nationwide.
The Soledad Community Health Care District is proud to be a member of the National Association of Rural Health Clinics (NARHC) — the only national organization dedicated exclusively to supporting and advancing the work of the nation’s 5,700+ Rural Health Clinics.
Through this membership, SCHCD is connected to a nationwide network of rural healthcare providers working to improve access to high-quality, cost-effective care in medically underserved communities. NARHC actively advocates on behalf of Rural Health Clinics at the federal level, working with Congress, federal agencies, and rural health partners to protect and strengthen the Rural Health Clinic Program.
NARHC also provides education and professional development opportunities for healthcare leaders and staff, including technical assistance, peer-to-peer networking forums, specialized training through the NARHC Academy, and national conferences. These resources help ensure that our organization remains informed, innovative, and responsive to the evolving healthcare needs of our community.
In addition, the NARHC Research and Education Foundation supports vital research on the Rural Health Clinic program and offers scholarships for nurse practitioners and physician assistants training in rural clinics — further strengthening the future of rural healthcare.
Our participation in NARHC reinforces our commitment to collaboration, continuous improvement, and delivering compassionate, high-quality healthcare to the residents of South Monterey County and surrounding rural communities.
